Freshsales is one of the most affordable mainstream sales CRMs, with a free edition for up to three users and paid plans starting at $9 per user per month on annual billing. Its real attraction is not price alone: Freshsales combines pipeline management, email, phone and chat in one sales workspace. The catch is that many of the features a growing sales team eventually expects—contact scoring, deal insights, multiple pipelines, sales sequences and territory management—sit on the $39-per-user Pro plan rather than the $9 Growth plan.
Quick verdict
The buying decision is therefore less about whether Freshsales is “good” and more about whether its plan boundaries match the way your team sells. A three-person team with one pipeline can get a lot from the Free or Growth editions. A larger team running multiple sales motions will hit the Growth ceiling quickly and should compare Freshsales Pro at $39 per user per month—not the $9 headline price—against Pipedrive, Zoho CRM and HubSpot.
| Best for | Why Freshsales fits |
|---|---|
| Small sales teams | Low entry price, simple pipeline management and built-in communication tools reduce the number of separate products required. |
| Inside-sales teams | Email, phone, tasks, sequences and deal activity can be managed from the CRM instead of constantly switching tools. |
| Teams already using Freshworks | Freshsales is easier to justify when Freshdesk, Freshchat or other Freshworks products are already part of the stack. |
| Growing SMBs that need AI prioritisation | Pro adds contact scoring and deal insights without moving into Salesforce-level complexity. |
| Not ideal for | Companies that need very deep marketing automation, the largest third-party ecosystem, or extensive enterprise governance at a low price. |
What Freshsales is
Freshsales is the sales CRM in the Freshworks product family. It is designed around contact, account and deal management, with a visual sales pipeline and communication tools that let salespeople email, call and chat with prospects from within the CRM. Freshworks also sells Freshsales Suite, which combines the sales CRM with broader marketing automation capabilities. That distinction matters: Freshsales itself is primarily a sales product, while businesses that want multi-channel nurture campaigns and marketing journeys may need Freshsales Suite or a separate marketing platform.
For a buyer, the practical appeal is consolidation. A small sales team can manage contacts, deals, follow-ups, email activity and calling in one system instead of assembling a CRM plus separate sales-engagement tools from day one. The platform becomes more sophisticated as you move up the plans, adding AI-based prioritisation, sales sequences, territory management, multiple pipelines, custom modules, sandboxing and audit controls.
This review is documentation-led. ToolRankers has not been supplied with original hands-on testing evidence for Freshsales, so we do not present setup times, performance claims or workflow observations as if we personally tested the product. Pricing, plan gates and policy details below are based primarily on Freshworks’ current official pricing, comparison, support and legal pages, checked in October 2026.
Freshsales pricing in 2026
Freshsales has an unusually wide spread between its entry tier and the plan many growing teams are likely to need. Freshworks’ pricing-comparison page currently lists a Free edition for up to three users, while the main Freshsales pricing page emphasises Growth, Pro and Enterprise. Because the Free edition remains on Freshworks’ live official comparison page, we treat it as current, but the inconsistent presentation is worth knowing before you build a purchasing plan around it.

| Plan | Annual price | Who it suits | Important features / limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 — up to 3 users | Founders and very small teams testing structured CRM use | Core contact/deal management; no sales sequences; 1,000 API requests/hour; limited email capacity. |
| Growth | $9/user/month | Small sales teams with a straightforward sales process | Kanban, lifecycle stages, chat/email/phone, templates, custom fields, basic workflows; one deal pipeline. |
| Pro | $39/user/month | Growing sales teams that need automation and prioritisation | Adds contact scoring, deal insights, territory management, sales sequences and up to 10 deal pipelines. |
| Enterprise | $59/user/month | Larger teams needing governance and deeper administration | Adds forecasting insights, field-level permissions, custom modules, sandbox and audit logs; up to 25 deal pipelines. |
The annual prices above are the current USD figures displayed on Freshworks’ pricing pages. Freshworks localises pricing by country and currency, so the amount shown to you may differ. Monthly billing is also available, but annual billing is the pricing basis Freshworks uses for the headline $9, $39 and $59 rates.
The free trial is generous, but it is not the same as the Free plan
Freshworks says the Freshsales trial runs for 21 days and provides access to a fully loaded CRM. If you do not select a paid plan when the trial expires, Freshworks says the trial account is suspended. That is separate from the Free edition shown on the official comparison page. Buyers should therefore decide whether they are signing up for the trial or intentionally selecting the Free edition, rather than assuming the trial automatically becomes Free.
Add-ons can change the real price
The base seat price is only part of the cost if you need documents or AI agent capacity. Freshworks currently lists branded documents at $19 per user per month and Freddy AI Agent sessions at $49 per 100 sessions. The pricing FAQ also says paid plans receive 500 AI-agent sessions once per account as a trial allocation; after those sessions are used, additional sessions must be purchased.
This is a meaningful distinction because “AI included” can mean several different things inside Freshsales. Some sales-focused intelligence such as contact scoring and deal insights comes with Pro, while customer-facing AI Agent usage is metered separately. Buyers comparing Freshsales with competitors should identify which AI functions they actually need before comparing sticker prices.
Freshworks’ terms are not buyer-friendly on refunds
Freshworks’ current Terms of Service, effective April 1, 2026, state that payment obligations are non-cancelable and non-refundable except where the agreement expressly allows otherwise. The terms also state that customers generally cannot reduce user or asset counts or downgrade the service plan during the subscription term. That makes the 21-day trial especially important for annual buyers: test plan fit before committing seats, because mid-term downsizing may not provide the flexibility a monthly buyer might expect.
Which Freshsales plan should you choose?
Choose Free if three users are enough and your needs are basic
Free makes sense when the goal is to get out of spreadsheets and establish a proper contact and deal process without paying for software. A founder plus two colleagues can run a small pipeline, log activity and learn whether the team will actually maintain CRM data. The limitation is not simply scale. Important outbound and automation features are unavailable, so Free is better viewed as a functioning starter CRM than a platform for a maturing sales operation.
Choose Growth if you have one main pipeline
Growth is the standout value tier at $9 per user per month annually. You get the core CRM, a Kanban-style deal view, contact lifecycle stages, email, phone, chat, templates, custom fields and basic workflows. For a small sales team selling one primary product or service through one repeatable pipeline, that can be enough.
The key constraint is process complexity. Freshworks’ support documentation says Growth supports one deal pipeline. If you run separate new-business, renewals, partnerships or regional sales motions, that becomes a structural limit rather than a minor inconvenience. Growth also does not include sales sequences.
Choose Pro if sales automation matters
Pro is the tier most growing B2B sales teams should evaluate seriously. It adds the features that turn Freshsales from a contact-and-pipeline system into a more active sales-management platform: contact scoring, deal insights, custom sales activities, territory management and sales sequences. Freshworks’ documentation allows up to 10 deal pipelines on Pro and 10 sales sequences per user, with up to 25 steps in each sequence.
The downside is the jump from $9 to $39 per user per month on annual billing. For ten users, that is the difference between $1,080 and $4,680 per year before add-ons. Freshsales can still compare favourably with higher-priced CRMs, but the value case becomes much less obvious than the headline entry price suggests.
Choose Enterprise for governance, not because it sounds bigger
Enterprise at $59 per user per month is mainly about control and administration. It adds forecasting insights, field-level permissions, custom modules, sandbox environments and audit logs, and Freshworks allows up to 25 deal pipelines. Those features matter to businesses with formal CRM ownership, compliance requirements, complex data models or administrators who need to test changes away from production.
A smaller team should not choose Enterprise simply for “more features.” If your real needs are better marketing automation or a larger integration ecosystem, spending more on the Freshsales hierarchy may not solve the underlying problem.
Ease of use and setup
Freshsales is positioned as a less intimidating alternative to enterprise CRM platforms. Its product structure supports that goal: contacts, accounts, deals and activities are the central objects, while the sales pipeline uses a visual board that should feel familiar to anyone who has worked with modern task or project tools. The low entry price also reduces the pressure to design a large implementation before the first user is productive.
That said, “easy CRM” is relative. Once a team enables multiple pipelines, scoring, territories, workflows, sequences, custom activities and phone settings, Freshsales becomes a system that needs ownership. Somebody still has to decide what a qualified lead means, which fields are mandatory, what the pipeline stages represent, when automation should fire and how salespeople should use sequences. Freshsales can reduce technical complexity; it does not remove the organisational work of CRM adoption.
For that reason, the strongest Freshsales deployments are likely to be teams that want more structure than a lightweight contact manager but less administration than a heavily customised Salesforce environment. Buyers who want extreme simplicity may prefer Pipedrive; buyers who want an all-department customer platform may prefer HubSpot or a broader Zoho deployment.
Pipeline and contact management
The CRM foundation covers the expected sales records: contacts, accounts and deals, with activities such as tasks, appointments and notes. Freshsales also provides contact lifecycle stages and a Kanban view, helping teams distinguish prospects, qualified opportunities, customers and other stages of the relationship.
Pipeline capacity is one of the clearest plan gates. Freshworks’ documentation allows one pipeline on Growth, up to 10 on Pro and up to 25 on Enterprise. There is no stated upper limit on the number of stages inside a pipeline, although each pipeline must have at least three stages. That structure is sensible for small teams, but it means a company with multiple sales processes should not buy Growth simply because the seat price looks attractive.
Pro also introduces territory management, which is valuable when assignment and reporting need to reflect geography, market segment or other operating divisions. Enterprise goes further with custom modules, enabling the CRM data model to extend beyond the standard records. This is where Freshsales starts competing with more configurable platforms rather than lightweight sales trackers.
Email, phone and chat
One of Freshsales’ strongest commercial arguments is that communication tools are part of the sales workspace. Growth includes chat, email and phone in the plan description, reducing the need to bolt basic communications onto a separate CRM. For an inside-sales team, that means activity can stay attached to the customer record and the pipeline instead of being scattered across inboxes and call logs.
However, “built-in phone” should not be interpreted as unlimited calling included in the seat price. Telephony typically involves number and usage charges, and Freshworks maintains separate calling documentation and rate structures. The value is integration: reps can place and track calls from the CRM environment, not that every minute is free.
Email also has plan-dependent sending limits when using Freshworks’ product SMTP. Freshworks currently documents per-active-user daily individual-email limits of 50 on Free, 200 on Growth, 500 on Pro and 1,000 on Enterprise, with separate limits for bulk mail, workflows and sales sequences. Connected providers such as Gmail or Office 365 can have their own limits as well. High-volume outbound teams should therefore model deliverability and sending requirements rather than assuming a CRM seat replaces a dedicated outbound platform.
Automation and sales sequences
Growth has basic workflows, but the serious outbound tools start on Pro
Growth includes basic workflows, which is enough for routine internal automation. The more important dividing line is sales sequences. Freshworks’ support documentation lists zero sequences on Free and Growth, 10 per user on Pro and 25 per user on Enterprise. Each sequence can contain up to 25 steps, and Freshsales supports conditions that determine how contacts move through the sequence.
That makes Pro the practical entry point for teams that expect the CRM to automate follow-up rather than simply record it. A sales manager can create repeatable cadences for prospecting, re-engagement and post-demo follow-up while keeping the activity tied to the contact and deal. If those processes are central to your sales motion, Growth is likely to feel artificially constrained.
Email limits matter for sequence-heavy teams
Freshworks’ published limits also cap sales-sequence email volume through the product SMTP: Pro allows 1,000 sequence emails per user per day and Enterprise 2,000. These are generous for typical relationship-based sales teams but may be material for companies attempting large-scale cold outreach. Freshsales is a CRM with sales engagement features, not a licence to send unlimited outbound email.
Freddy AI: what is actually included?
Freshworks uses the Freddy name across a broad set of AI capabilities, so buyers need to separate sales intelligence from paid AI-agent usage. On the Freshsales pricing page, Pro explicitly adds contact scoring and deal insights, while Enterprise adds forecasting insights. Freshworks’ general CRM features page also describes Freddy functions such as deduplication, out-of-office detection and next-step/deal intelligence.
For a sales team, contact scoring is the most immediately useful concept: the CRM can help prioritise which contacts deserve attention instead of forcing reps to treat every record equally. Deal insights are useful when managers want signals about opportunity health rather than relying exclusively on rep-entered stage and probability. These features are not a substitute for accurate data, but they can make the CRM more proactive.
Freshworks also sells Freddy AI Agent sessions separately. The current pricing page lists the add-on at $49 per 100 sessions and says paid plans receive 500 sessions as a one-time allocation to try chatbots. A “session” covers end-user interactions with the AI Agent within a 24-hour window. This is a different cost model from seat-based CRM intelligence, so organisations planning customer-facing AI should budget usage independently.
Reporting, forecasting and analytics
Freshsales includes sales dashboards and reporting across its paid plans, but the sophistication rises with the tiers. The most important distinction is between basic visibility and management-grade forecasting. A small team needs to know pipeline value, stage movement and activity. A larger organisation needs forecasting logic, territory views, governance over fields and reliable segmentation.
Enterprise adds forecasting insights, making it the more credible tier for organisations where forecast accuracy is part of formal revenue planning. That does not automatically make Enterprise the best reporting platform in the CRM market. HubSpot, Salesforce and Zoho can be stronger choices when reporting needs span marketing, service, custom objects or complex cross-functional analytics. Freshsales is strongest when reporting remains closely tied to sales operations.
Customisation and governance
Freshsales becomes substantially more configurable as you move upward. Pro adds custom sales activities and territory management, while Enterprise adds field-level permissions, custom modules, sandboxing and audit logs. These are not glamorous features, but they matter when a CRM moves from “a tool sales uses” to “a system the business depends on.”
Field-level permissions help keep sensitive or process-critical data under control. Custom modules let administrators model business concepts that do not fit neatly into contacts, accounts and deals. A sandbox gives administrators a safer place to test configuration changes, and audit logs make it easier to understand who changed what. If these capabilities are important, compare Freshsales Enterprise against the enterprise tiers of Zoho and HubSpot rather than against their entry plans.
Integrations and API limits
Freshsales integrates naturally with the Freshworks ecosystem and supports connections with common business tools including Google and Microsoft applications, Slack, Zapier, accounting tools and document platforms. Freshworks also maintains integration documentation and a developer API for custom connections.
The ecosystem is useful but not the main reason to choose Freshsales. HubSpot and Salesforce have broader app ecosystems, and that can become important when CRM must connect to a specialised finance, data, revenue-operations or industry platform. Buyers with a long integration checklist should validate every critical system before committing.
Freshworks applies account-level API fair-use limits. Its current support documentation lists 1,000 requests per hour on Free and Growth, 2,000 on Pro and 5,000 on Enterprise, with a 400-request-per-minute limit across all four. Those limits are unlikely to trouble a small team using standard integrations, but they can matter for high-volume data synchronisation or custom middleware.
Security, support and billing terms
Freshworks maintains security and privacy documentation through its legal and security resources, while Enterprise includes controls such as field-level permissions, sandbox and audit logs that become relevant in more controlled environments. Buyers with regulated-data or residency requirements should review Freshworks’ current data-processing, subprocessor and security materials for their region rather than treating CRM feature pages as a compliance assessment.
Freshworks’ main Freshsales pricing page directs customers to support resources and gives [email protected] for questions about Freshsales or sign-up. Support levels can differ by product, plan and contract, so larger buyers should confirm response-time commitments in the order form rather than assuming the public help centre represents a contractual SLA.
The billing terms deserve particular attention. Freshworks’ 2026 Terms of Service say fees are generally non-refundable and payment obligations non-cancelable, and they restrict reducing user or asset counts or downgrading during the active subscription term. A business expecting headcount volatility should clarify renewal, seat-reduction and downgrade timing before choosing annual billing.
Who Freshsales is best for
Freshsales is at its best when the sales team is the main buyer and the CRM is expected to support a fairly conventional lead-to-deal process. That includes agencies, B2B service companies, software vendors, professional-services firms and other organisations where reps spend their day following up with known prospects, qualifying opportunities and progressing deals through a pipeline. The built-in communication tools are most valuable when those reps want the CRM to be their operating workspace rather than a passive database.
It is also a logical shortlist candidate for businesses already using Freshdesk or other Freshworks products. Keeping sales and support in the same vendor ecosystem can reduce integration friction and make customer context easier to share. That does not mean every Freshworks customer should automatically choose Freshsales, but the ecosystem fit is a real advantage when the alternative is maintaining several unrelated vendors.
Freshsales Pro is particularly well matched to a growing inside-sales team that has outgrown a starter CRM but does not need an enterprise platform. Multiple pipelines, contact scoring, deal insights, territories and sequences give managers more structure without immediately introducing the cost and implementation burden associated with Salesforce or a heavily customised HubSpot deployment.
Who should avoid Freshsales
Freshsales is a weaker fit when CRM is only one part of a much broader customer platform requirement. If your marketing team needs sophisticated campaign automation, your service team needs a mature help desk, your operations team needs advanced data tooling and leadership wants all of that governed in one customer platform, HubSpot or a more comprehensive suite may be easier to standardise around. Freshworks can cover much of that territory across multiple products, but the buying decision then becomes a suite architecture question rather than a Freshsales-only decision.
It is also not the obvious choice for businesses whose main CRM requirement is extreme customisation. Enterprise adds custom modules, permissions and sandboxing, but Zoho CRM and Salesforce still offer broader ecosystems and deeper traditions of custom object modelling, partner implementation and specialised extensions. If your CRM is expected to behave like a bespoke operating system for the company, Freshsales may feel constrained earlier.
Finally, high-volume outbound teams should inspect sending limits and sequence design carefully. Freshsales can run structured sales sequences, but it is not a dedicated cold-email infrastructure platform. Teams that need very high send volumes, sophisticated mailbox rotation, deliverability controls or complex prospecting data workflows may still need specialist tools alongside the CRM.
Data migration, imports and switching costs
Freshsales supports importing CRM data and is designed to be approachable for teams moving from spreadsheets or another CRM. The technical import is only part of a successful migration, however. Before moving, a buyer should decide which fields still matter, how duplicate contacts will be handled, whether old activities need to be preserved, how deal stages map to the new pipeline and which automations should be recreated rather than copied.
The biggest migration risk is carrying old CRM clutter into a cleaner system. If the source CRM contains years of abandoned fields, inconsistent stage definitions and duplicate accounts, importing everything can make Freshsales feel complicated before the team has even started using it. A smaller, deliberate migration—active contacts, open deals, essential historical context and validated account data—often creates a more usable starting point.
Teams moving away from Freshsales should likewise confirm export requirements before cancellation. Contract terms and renewal timing matter because the software subscription and the data-migration project rarely end on the same day. Give the new system time to validate imported records, integrations, permissions and reporting before the old CRM becomes inaccessible.
Freshworks ecosystem: an advantage, but not a reason by itself
Freshsales benefits from being part of Freshworks rather than a standalone CRM vendor. Freshdesk, Freshchat and other Freshworks applications create a path for companies that want sales, support and messaging products from one supplier. For an SMB without a dedicated systems team, reducing the number of vendors can be valuable because authentication, procurement and support relationships become simpler.
The trade-off is that Freshworks sometimes splits capabilities across products and add-ons. Marketing journeys belong to Freshmarketer or Freshsales Suite rather than plain Freshsales. AI capabilities are distributed between plan-level sales intelligence and metered AI Agent sessions. Documents have a paid add-on. Buyers should therefore map the whole customer journey before assuming the base CRM licence is the complete Freshworks cost.
This is not inherently a disadvantage; modular pricing can prevent a sales-only team from paying for features it does not need. But it means Freshsales should be evaluated as part of a stack. Ask which Freshworks products will be required in year two, not just which Freshsales plan looks affordable in month one.
Mobile access and day-to-day sales work
Freshsales includes mobile support, which matters for field salespeople and managers who need to update deals, review records or log activity away from a desktop. The value of mobile CRM is less about reproducing every administrative feature on a phone and more about keeping data current when work happens outside the office. If a rep can update the deal immediately after a meeting, the forecast is more useful than if the CRM waits until Friday afternoon.
Mobile access does not eliminate the adoption problem common to every CRM. Teams still need simple rules about what must be entered, when a deal should move stages and which fields are essential. Freshsales can make that routine easier, but management discipline is what turns the software into reliable pipeline data.
Freshsales strengths
- Excellent entry pricing. $9 per user per month annually for Growth is aggressive for a mainstream CRM that includes pipeline, email, phone and chat functionality.
- A focused sales experience. Freshsales is designed around selling rather than trying to make every department work inside the same interface.
- Built-in communications reduce tool sprawl. Email, phone and chat can live closer to the deal record and rep workflow.
- Pro adds genuinely useful sales-management features. Contact scoring, deal insights, multiple pipelines, territories and sequences are meaningful upgrades, not cosmetic plan differentiation.
- Enterprise has credible governance tools. Field permissions, custom modules, sandboxing and audit logs make it viable for more mature CRM administration.
- A 21-day trial gives buyers time to test the fully loaded system before committing.
Freshsales weaknesses
- The jump from Growth to Pro is large. The price rises from $9 to $39 per user per month annually, and many growing teams will need Pro’s features.
- One pipeline on Growth can become restrictive quickly for businesses with different sales motions, regions or products.
- Sales sequences are unavailable on Growth. Teams buying Freshsales specifically for outbound automation should budget for Pro.
- The Freshworks AI story is fragmented. Some intelligence is included by plan, while AI Agent sessions are usage-based add-ons.
- The broader integration ecosystem is not as deep as HubSpot or Salesforce, which can matter as the tech stack becomes more specialised.
- Freshworks’ standard contract language is strict on refunds and mid-term downsizing, so annual buyers should size seats carefully.
Freshsales vs key alternatives
Swipe to view the full table.
| CRM | Current annual entry point | Where it is stronger than Freshsales | Where Freshsales is stronger |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pipedrive | $14/user/month | Extremely focused pipeline UX, large integration catalogue and a very clear sales-first workflow. | Lower entry price, built-in communication positioning and more AI/territory depth at Pro. |
| Zoho CRM | $14/user/month; Free for 3 users | Broader customisation and Zoho ecosystem; strong feature-per-dollar across many business functions. | Freshsales can feel more focused for an inside-sales team that wants communications close to the pipeline. |
| HubSpot Sales Hub | Free for 2 users; Starter currently from $7/user/month for new customers | Broader customer platform, stronger marketing/service alignment and a large ecosystem. | Freshsales Pro can be materially cheaper than HubSpot Professional for sales automation without the wider HubSpot platform. |
| Salesforce | Higher enterprise-oriented pricing | Massive ecosystem, deep customisation and enterprise scale. | Far lower cost and less implementation overhead for SMB sales teams that do not need Salesforce-level complexity. |
Freshsales vs Pipedrive
Pipedrive is the closer comparison for a sales-led SMB. Pipedrive’s Lite plan currently starts at $14 per seat per month annually, compared with $9 for Freshsales Growth. Pipedrive is especially attractive if your priority is pipeline simplicity and a broad set of integrations. Freshsales becomes more compelling when built-in communication and Freddy-based prioritisation matter, but its strongest automation features require Pro.
Freshsales vs Zoho CRM
Zoho CRM remains difficult to beat on breadth and price, with a Free edition for three users and paid annual plans currently starting at $14 per user per month. Zoho is the stronger option for buyers who want extensive configuration or expect to expand across the wider Zoho ecosystem. Freshsales may be easier to justify for a focused inside-sales team that values integrated email, phone and chat over maximum configurability.
Freshsales vs HubSpot
HubSpot is the stronger all-in-one customer platform, especially when marketing, content, service and sales need to share the same system. Its current Sales Hub pricing includes a Free plan for two users and promotional Starter pricing for new customers, but Professional is far more expensive than Freshsales Pro and carries a required onboarding fee. Freshsales therefore has a clearer value proposition for a sales team that does not need HubSpot’s broader platform.
Value for money
Freshsales offers good value, but only when evaluated against the plan that matches your process. Growth is excellent value for a small team with one pipeline and modest automation needs. Pro is still competitively priced for teams that genuinely use scoring, sequences, territories and multiple pipelines, but it is no longer a “cheap CRM” in the same sense as Growth.
A useful way to evaluate the product is to price your team twice: once on Growth and once on Pro. Then list every requirement that forces the upgrade. If only one or two nice-to-have features push you into Pro, compare alternatives before accepting the 4.3x seat-price jump. If your team will actively use sequences, multiple pipelines, scoring and deal intelligence, the Pro price is much easier to defend.
Final verdict
Freshsales is worth recommending to small and midsized sales teams that want a modern CRM without enterprise implementation overhead. It is particularly attractive when reps spend much of the day emailing, calling and following up with leads, because those activities can remain close to the customer record and pipeline.
The strongest reason to buy Freshsales is the combination of low starting price and practical sales functionality. The biggest compromise is plan gating. Growth looks exceptionally cheap, but one pipeline and no sales sequences can become limiting sooner than expected. Pro solves much of that problem, but at more than four times the annual per-user price.
Choose Freshsales Growth if your process is simple and one pipeline is enough. Choose Pro if your team needs structured outbound follow-up, scoring, multiple pipelines or territories. Choose Enterprise only when governance, custom modules and sandboxing are real requirements. Consider Pipedrive if ease and pipeline focus matter more, Zoho CRM if breadth and customisation matter more, or HubSpot if sales needs to live inside a larger marketing-and-service platform.
Overall, Freshsales is not the cheapest CRM in every realistic scenario, but it is one of the better-priced sales CRMs when the plan boundaries fit your operating model. The smart purchase is not “Freshsales because it starts at $9.” It is “the Freshsales tier that includes the workflows we actually need, at a total cost we are willing to keep paying.”

Frequently asked questions
Is Freshsales free?
Freshworks’ official Freshsales pricing-comparison page currently lists a Free edition at $0 for up to three users. The main pricing page emphasises the paid Growth, Pro and Enterprise plans, so the presentation is inconsistent, but the Free edition remains present in current official Freshworks material.
How much does Freshsales cost?
On annual billing, the current USD list prices are $9 per user per month for Growth, $39 for Pro and $59 for Enterprise. Freshworks may display different currencies or local pricing depending on your region. Add-ons such as branded documents and Freddy AI Agent sessions can increase the total.
How long is the Freshsales free trial?
Freshworks says the trial lasts 21 days and gives access to the fully loaded CRM. If you do not choose a paid plan at the end of the trial, Freshworks says the trial account is suspended.
Does Freshsales include sales sequences?
Sales sequences are not available on Free or Growth. Freshworks currently allows up to 10 sequences per user on Pro and 25 per user on Enterprise, with up to 25 steps in each sequence.
How many pipelines can Freshsales support?
Freshworks’ current documentation says Growth supports one deal pipeline, Pro up to 10 and Enterprise up to 25. Each pipeline must have at least three stages.
Does Freshsales include AI?
Yes, but AI availability depends on the feature and plan. Pro includes contact scoring and deal insights, while Enterprise adds forecasting insights. Freshworks also sells Freddy AI Agent session packs separately at $49 per 100 sessions, with 500 trial sessions included once per paid account according to the current pricing FAQ.
Is Freshsales better than Pipedrive?
Freshsales is stronger for teams that value built-in communication tools and want AI-based scoring and deal insights in the same sales platform. Pipedrive is often the better choice for teams that prioritise a very simple pipeline experience and a broad integration catalogue. The right choice depends on whether communication/AI depth or pipeline simplicity matters more.
Can I get a refund if I stop using Freshsales?
Freshworks’ current Terms of Service state that payment obligations are generally non-cancelable and non-refundable except where the agreement specifically allows otherwise. Annual buyers should therefore confirm the subscription term, seat count and downgrade rules before purchase.
